Ford Sales Jump in 2013

f-150

We’ve already established that Ford loves to look ahead. The blue oval is all about innovation in all fields, from energy and fuel efficiency to the way we drive. However, some days in the auto industry, you just have to look at the numbers and give yourself a pat on the back.

In 2013, Ford sold more than 2 million cars on its way to becoming the biggest market-share gainer in the industry. Of those 2 million plus cars, 1.4 million were Fusions, Escapes, and F-series trucks, and the award-winning F-series accounts for more than half of that at 763,402 units sold.

That many trucks lined up end-to-end would easily cover the distance from New York City to Los Angeles.

Overall sales for the auto maker rose eleven percent, and Ford was the only manufacturer to hit the 2 million units sold mark.

Now, the reason why these numbers make us all smile is specifically because they represent a clear vote of confidence in the Ford brand, which means all those projects and research and concepts and dreams will endure. The quality of the future is built on the quantity of today’s successes, and based on today, the future is going to be very bright indeed.
