It’s the start of a holiday week, and (hopefully) all your preparations have been made. Travel plans have been set, routes have been Google-mapped, pet-sitters arranged, menus planned, parties attended, and gifts are as close to being perfect as they’re ever going to be. Now is that briefest of moments when everything is ready, and the week stretches out in front of us, waiting to be found.
It’s a curious moment when all the business of preparation transitions to the event all the preparation was for. For many of us, the transition happens so quickly that we wake up on January 1 to the regular sounds of life, and wonder, “Did it all really happen so fast?”
That’s why we suggest that you take a moment today to simply stop. Sit. And listen. Maybe do so with a loved one or two, and experience the pleasantness of their company.
All of the holiday bustle will still be there, and it’s a wonderful thing, having so much to look forward to. We at Leith Ford want to wish you happy holidays, and we hope that you enjoy all the time you have with friends, family and even perhaps strangers, if you’re feeling adventurous.
As always, please travel safe and remember that watching out for the welfare of yourself and others on the road and off is always a good idea.
Leith as a whole will be closed on December 24 and 25, including Leith Ford, so we look forward to seeing you bright and early on the 26th.
So now, holiday reader, we bid you the happiest of weeks and look forward to the New Year. Happy holidays.
